Meet Nancy

Hey! Thanks for finding Ugh. My Husband... I am so excited to have you here! When I first met Debbie we bonded over coffee, diets and the fact that we have scarily similar husbands. I thought we were alone, but after talking with other wives I realized something - we are everywhere! To be a wife implies that a woman will be frustrated, over worked and annoyed. We often feel like no one listens to us and are under-appreciated. But don't think that's all…

My husband Clark loves me and I love him. I met Clark when I was “too young to be married” but old enough to know who I did not want to be with. We dated, moved around the country, got hitched ever so casually (read: we eloped… sure, we can talk about this later – why not!!?) and after a difficult first-year of marriage - for undisclosed reasons - we decided to call our long-time home, home. Now here we are with a doggy who is like our baby and our cat who thinks he is a dog (we got the cat for the dog and the relationship has worked out marvelously). Clark and I love to cook, read, play Wii, watch movies and take hikes with the dog. We have yet to genetically re-produce, but it will surely happen. Stick around long enough and I’m sure you’ll hear tales of that. To hear more about my likes (and dislikes) read my first post!

At the end of the day, Debbie and I are here to reassure you, Mrs. Reader, that you are not the only wife in the world who doesn’t know if she wants to laugh or cry at something that just happened in her kitchen. You are not the only one who is concerned for the well being of your kids/pets/self because your husband is up to a new “experiment.” You are not the only one who sometimes sits in a still, quiet room (when you can find one) and say “I love quiet… I miss it, how do I get it back?!” You are not the only one who, at the end of all of this, wraps your hubs up un a big hug and says to yourself “I love him, why do I ever complain?!” We love our husbands. If we didn’t, we would just pack our bags and head for Fiji - not start a blog!

So, consider this a tribute to our better halves. Come along and laugh, cry and vent with us… we promise a good time.

Much love,
Nancy
